Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead the team comprising of systems development and programming, project management, infrastructure and support. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be tasked with collectively driving forward the wider business strategy and ensuring that all systems, processes and data provide a platform to support the growth plans and improvement in profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead role in developing and delivering a detailed I.T. strategy to support the overall business strategy
  • Ensure that I.T. and other business systems and processes are robust and flexible, and are scalable to support business growth
  • Oversee the I.T. infrastructure and ensure consistent with business requirements
  • Analyse the requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions, improving employee communication tools and engagement
  • I.T. reporting and analytics to facilitate real-time information / KPIs to support business needs
  • Lead and develop the internal I.T. team and drive ownership and accountability
  • Develop external support structures to complement the internal I.T. team and provide additional skills and resources when required
  • Manage the key relationship with the SAP VAR and all related project activity
  • Demonstrate a clear return on investment for all I.T. projects, together with taking an active role in business-wide projects, ensuring fully planned and scoped
  • Lead a cross-functional I.T. Steering Committee
  • Control of the I.T. budget and delivery of efficiencies and improvements
  • Maintain a Business Continuity Plan covering all aspects of the business
  • Drive formal accreditation of business systems and processes
  • Manage I.T. related risks, with a particular focus on cyber threats and security

For this appointment we are seeking a strong technical background, with knowledge of manufacturing and commercial processes, SAP and its integration with other systems. You will be a natural leader able to demonstrate transformation within an I.T. function. You will be able to communicate with staff at all levels and quickly able to gain buy-in from the wider business.

Requirements

  • All all-round I.T. professional with proven experience in a Head of Business Systems or Head of I.T. role
  • A track record of setting and delivering strategies to support business growth
  • Ability to drive change across all functions within an organisation, improving automation, efficiency and functionality
  • Ability to quickly understand complex data and inter-dependencies.
  • Strong technical skills, with knowledge of SAP and Analytics and integration with other manufacturing systems
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and decision-making skills, with a demonstrable record of delivering as part of a senior team
  • Strong project management skills, evidenced by roll-out of significant projects
  • Experience of end to end systems development
  • Strong communication and motivational skills, able to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Professional I.T. or similar qualification

Established in 1974, they have almost 50 years of experience in their field. Their products allow for the dispersion of additives into polymer materials such as rubber, latex, adhesives, coatings, and plastics. These additives are crucial to the manufacturing process and enable end products to attain enhanced properties such as increased durability.

In 2021, the company was acquired by Private Equity Firm, CBPE, following a successful MBO process lead by Dr Alan Bewsher, the UK MD at the time and now the Group CEO.

The business has a well-earned reputation for quality, consistency, and product innovation. Its customer-focussed approach is reflected in its long-term relationships and impressive 10% per annum revenue growth over the last 13 years. Last year, the company turnover was £40 million.

As a Member of the Board, the Group CFO will provide strategic leadership and plan the financial strategy for the Aquaspersions Group. Key responsibilities will include:

Resource Planning, Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Providing the CEO, Board, and SLT with high quality finance analysis

The Director of Procurement is a newly created role on the Operating Board, and the successful candidate will take the lead on supplier relationship management, developing new and continuing existing arrangements with clients primarily across the UK. You will have the responsibility of building a strategic procurement function that will continue to support the Board towards their business and operational needs in terms of purchase price, supplier quality and delivery of targets whilst playing an integral part in developing the procurement and supplier quality teams.

Strategy

•To implement working practise to manage regulatory compliance for products on an on-going basis to minimise business risk, regulatory action, and loss of customer confidence

•To facilitate business growth opportunities by taking regulatory action to remove barriers to market and support new product introduction.

•To proactively explore non-standard notification routes that allow for reduced testing and hence reduce the time and cost of new product information.

•To manage all chemical regulatory notifications/registrations in the region by offering a single focal point in the global resource. This will require considerable influencing skills to get an agreement on priorities between different regions and the co-ordinations and instruction of internal technical resource and management and selection of external service providers

•To provide training to country managers sales professionals, R&D scientists, site technical managers to understand the variety of country specific regulations. To provide training in regulatory requirements to develop local expertise and to ensure that all in the PSRA team have a working knowledge of relevant legislation

Management & Key Stakeholders:

The Regulatory Director will have 7 direct reports who will be based remotely across Asia, North America, and Europe. Key stakeholders will include Country Managers, Site Technical Managers, Site HSE Managers, R&D Scientists, Sales Managers, Regulatory contacts at other companies, Industry working groups, Regulators and Regulatory consultancies.

Experience Required:

This position requires the job holder to deal with a high complexity of regulations covering a variety of products applications and markets, involving multiple departments across the group where information is not always readily available and can be scattered across multiple locations and departments. To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of financial, commercial and liability implications of regulatory assessments and can influence key stakeholders across the group using a high level of professional diplomacy, negotiation and persuasion. This role will also challenge the development of on-going business strategies.

•Degree level qualification gained within a technical field (i.e., chemistry, engineering, etc.)

•Expert in detailed knowledge of complex and varying chemical control legislation across multiple regions

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are the retained partner to a long standing and well-respected Yorkshire Based, Financial Services Organisation in appointment of a NED – Audit Chair.

After a successful nine-year term with the organisation, the current Chair of Audit will be stepping down in 2022 and as a result there is now the need to appoint a successor, for an initial term of 3 years.

The Audit Committee is the key assurance committee of the board, and our client is looking to appoint an individual who is:

• Qualified or skilled in financial accounting with deep experience of financial controls and systems of risk management

• Suitably qualified within Finance & Audit, or experienced in the audit chair role with first class interpersonal skills and sound knowledge of board governance

• Skilled in chairing complex meetings effectively

• Experienced in the management of risk and complex risk management

• Experienced within the financial services regulated environment and have previously held approved person status. That said we will consider NED’s with Audit Chair experience that either live within or have an affinity with the Yorkshire Region.

• Able to demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships with our auditors, and other stakeholders and partners

• Able to absorb significant amounts of financial and statistical information in order to reach sound judgements

• Curious and willing to learn
