Job Description
Parkinson Lee Executive Search are working with a leading UK business within the Insurance, banking and financial services sector to recruit a Director of Product Management. This role is primarily based in the London office (c2/3 days) with hybrid working.
Reporting into the CCO, the Director of Product Management will be responsible for leading the product function for the required business unit delivering the strategy in line with commercial performance taking ownership of the overall proposition to ensure the portfolio is at the forefront of the sector.
As the Director of Product Management you will immerse yourself within the industry and become an expert within the sector, constantly identifying potential opportunities to develop new products/propositions and take the lead on seeing these through to launch, developing a go to market strategy in order to do so.
The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Product Management will be to:
•Evolve the product management methodology and embed across the organisation
•Bring the voice of the market into the definition of the product strategies.
•Cross functional collaborating
•Create compelling product strategies that deliver on the overall proposition and develop roadmaps that deliver on the strategy.
•Develop Go-To Market processes to build compelling launch material that maximises the opportunity of benefits realisation.
•Ensure the team follows industry best practice and are aligned to bank wide strategic direction
•Ensure all governance and compliance requirements are adhered to and ensure product reviews are complete in a timely manner
•Monitor and track the realisation of benefits
•Ensure the product strategy is linked to the technology strategy.
•Provide senior leadership, strategic and professional management for the team
•Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements
•Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
