Job Description

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are the retained partner to a Global Engineering Organisation in the appointment of a Finance Director within a £130million turn over specialist division based in South Yorkshire.

Reporting into the Managing Director, and working closely with the executive leadership team, you play a key role in the implementation an agreed turnaround plan. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning process, organisational and systems development. You will lead a small but highly skilled finance team and ensure that the company is well positioned to achieve both its short and long term objectives.

Main responsibilities will include:

•Preparation and delivery of the monthly management accounts and associated supporting submissions including for statutory audit processes

•Overseeing and maintaining robust controls over the financial systems and preparing management accounting analysis to support business decisions

•Overall accountability for the development and updating of the costing system, ensuring accuracy, and improving the quality of information

•Leading the team to compile regular financial statement forecasting and the annual budgeting process

•To drive cost reduction initiatives and improved business efficiency through both the sites and the supply chain

•Working alongside the MD to deliver forecasts and maximise business performance

•Provide leadership, coaching and support to the finance team and wider senior members in relation to finance transformation requirements of the business

•Manage cash and maximise working capital and funding requirements to support business growth

•Oversight and development of the capital expenditure strategy

•Challenge current working practices to drive improvements and ensure common best practice processes across the sites

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are looking for applicants with the below experience:

•Proven experience as a Finance Director within an engineering, metals or manufacturing business

•Immediately available, or on a short notice period

•Strong leadership skills, able to motivate and direct a small team

•Experience in M&A would be advantageous
