Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently partnering with a start-up, private equity backed organisation, in the appointment of an Interim Project Director, to be based in the North East.

Our client is an electronics manufacturing organisation that is about to embark on an exciting period of exponential growth.

Having recently acquired a factory to house all manufacturing, they are now in the process of significantly upgrading and refurbishing the factory prior to installing a high tech, state of the art, production line.

This is a significant investment of over £40million, as such, they are now looking to appoint a Project Director to oversee this key stage of the businesses development.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee this significant project which is divided into 2 parts:

• Refurbishment of an old building (£6m)

• Installation and commissioning of a high-tech production line (£37m)

The successful candidate will be a proven Project Manager / Director who:

• Is Financially astute

• Is a strong leader, with first rate interpersonal and influencing ability

• Knows what ‘good’ should look like

• Is Robust and firm (non-nonsense approach)

• But also, emotionally intelligent

We are looking for a seasoned project/programme manager for an initial project of circa 6/9 months. There may also be the opportunity for further employment once the initial assignment is completed.

This is a hands-on appointment and as such we are looking to speak to individuals who are prepared to base themselves in the North East at least 4 days a week.
