Job Description
Parkinson Lee are working with a leading UK Merchant Bank to recruit a Sales Director – Personal Lines to be based in their London office.
Our client is a FTSE250 company employing over 3000 people primarily in the UK, they support over 3 million businesses and customers across the UK and Ireland to spread the cost of their insurance premiums.
The Sales Director will sit within the Personal Lines division of the business, reporting into the MD. The main purpose of this role is to drive business growth within the division collaborating with marketing, sales, account management, delivery teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities will include:
•Actively seeking to understand Partner needs, goals and business plans whilst building and maintaining effective partnerships with key external stakeholders
•Implementing strategies to drive Value aligned to Partner goals in line with the divisions proposition
•Understanding the requirements of new and existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
•Leading a team of insurance specialists and product owners that work with insurance brokers and external stakeholders to deliver new and enhanced capabilities to support business growth objectives
•Supporting the sales team in acquiring new brokers and managing existing relationships
•Setting and delivering the financial targets & business plan alongside other directors
•Collaborating with the commercial function to conduct market research and analysis to evaluate commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.)
•Collaborating with diverse teams including sales, marketing, strategy, and customer service
•Tracking, measuring and analysing performance of commercial activities using KPI’s
Parkinson Lee are inviting candidates from and insurance / financial services background to apply to this exciting opportunity. You will have:
•A proven track record within a Senior Sales or Commercial capacity within the Insurance sector
•Experience of working within Personal Lines (essential)
•Strong Knowledge of premium finance / SaaS is preferable
•Solid internal and external stakeholder management experience (essential)
•Ability to develop and manage UK and global partnerships
•Open to travel on a UK basis (c40%)
